How will my item be shipped and how much will it cost?

First class shipping is available for US and Canada orders for $4 on orders $50 and under.  If you order more than $50 worth of Bitty Bitty Pretty products, first class shipping is free.  US residents can also choose Priority mail for $7 on orders of any value.  There is no minimum to place an order.

What type of guarantee do you offer?

The pieces you purchase are handmade and therefore may not be as durable as something you might purchase in a store which is made by a machine. It is not recommended that you sleep or bathe/shower in your jewelry, wear it during sports, swimming or other vigorous activity or allow it to come in contact with lotions, perfumes, cleaners or other chemicals such as chlorine. All pieces are guaranteed from workmanship defects within sixty (60) days of purchase. Because items are worn and are sometimes custom made, no returns will be accepted. If you are in need of a repair, please contact Coni to make arrangements to send your item back for repair.  Items after sixty (60) days can be repaired at the chargeable repair rate.

Your order will not be processed or shipped until payment is received in full.  Unless prior arrangements have been made (or you have chosen layaway), payment for orders must be received within 7 days of the order being filled or the order will be cancelled.

Bitty Bitty Pretty is not responsible for items lost in the mail.  You will receive an email notification (when an email address is provided) when you order is shipping.  Items sent first class mail typically will be received within 5 days depending on your location.

Here is a note about sterling silver:
Cardboard, paper and certain dyes leach fumes that damage silver. Moisture is also a factor. Silver should be stored in a zip-seal bag in a wooden, stone or plastic box somewhere other than your bathroom. To protect it from perfumes and lotions, make it the last thing you put on in the morning, and the first thing you take off at night. If it is a piece you don't wear daily, wipe it down with a soft dry cloth before storing it to remove any body oils. Also be aware that things like rubber and latex will actually burn your silver, even through several layers of plastic, so keep them as far apart from each other as possible.

What is your return policy?

Because all items are either one of a kind, or made specifically for you, returns are not accepted unless the item is faulty (broken in transit or damaged in transit). I personally make all of the pieces by hand and try my best to assure quality. Please feel free to ask any questions before placing your order and read the item description and measurements carefully before purchasing a product (including making sure your cell phone has a place to hold a cell phone charm before ordering one). I know that some things may slip by despite my best efforts to write accurate descriptions.  I will accept returns ONLY if the item description was in error or the item itself is faulty. These returns must be made within 14 calendar days of purchase and must be returned in the original packaging and same condition it was sent in.  If you feel you need to return an item, please contact Coni to make arrangements.

How do you sell one-of-a-kind items on the website?

It is possible that more than one person can purchase the same item(s) before I am able to remove it from availability on the website. In this instance I will give that particular item to the person whose payment was received first.  The other person will be notified via email regarding the situation and will be offered either a refund or a different item.  If it is possible that I make an item similar to the original, you will be advised of that.  I apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.

How long will it be before I receive my purchase?

Items that are made to order take time to create and are generally estimated to take 1-3 weeks for me to make and get out in the mail to you.  Other items that are one of a kind are ready to be shipped immediately (as long as no customizations are requested).  If you order from both selections, I will hold it until everything can be shipped together.  Payments must be received in full before your order will be processed and shipped.  Unless prior arrangements have been made (or you have chosen layaway), payment for orders must be received within 7 days of the order being filled or the order will be cancelled.

You will receive an email (if you provided your email address) when your order is shipping.  If you have a specific time frame in mind, please specify when placing your order.  You may also contact me ahead of time to find out a time frame.

How can I keep on top of sales and new items available?

What is the jewelry made of?

Item descriptions stating 'silver' or 'gold' are referring to color only.  Precious metals are used where indicated.  Wire is typically color coated copper.  Ear hooks are silver plated or gold plated.  Please note - if you have any jewelry sensitivity, please contact me prior to purchasing to be sure.  I can adapt many of the designs for sensitivity (additional charges may apply).

Is gift wrapping available?

Items indicated with the gift box picture can be packaged in a white gift box wrapped in a pretty ribbon at no additional charge by specifying in the instructions at checkout. (The gift box shown is just a sample, ribbon and box may vary depending on availability.)  Gift certificates are also available and can be sent to either the gift giver or the recipient.

What methods of payments are there to choose from?

There are several different ways you can pay.  Regardless of the payment method you are choosing, the ordering process is the same.  Simply choose the payment method you would like at checkout.  Payments must be received in full before your order will be processed and shipped.  Unless prior arrangements have been made (or you have chosen layaway), payment for orders must be received within 7 days of the order being filled or the order will be cancelled.

  • PayPal - PayPal is a third party service used to transfer the money from you to Bitty Bitty Pretty account.  Use money already in your PayPal account, transfer directly from your bank account or use your MasterCard, Visa, Discover or American Express card.  You do not necessarily have to have an account with PayPal to use this payment method.
  • Credit Card by Phone - After submitting your order, call 716-553-3922 to give your credit card information over the phone.  Please let me know if you would like me to keep this credit card number on file for future orders. MasterCard, Visa and Discover are accepted.  If you chose this method and change your mind, you can still make your payment online by going to our payments page and clicking the PayPal logo under the title "Pay online".
  • Mail a check or money order - After submitting your order, you will receive an email with the address to send your check to.  The check/money order should be made payable to Coni Majchrowicz.  If you chose this method and change your mind, you can still make your payment online by going to our payments page and clicking the PayPal logo under the title "Pay online".
  • Use Credit Card on File - When you pay credit card by phone or in person at a show you can request that your credit card number be kept on file.  Doing this will allow you to chose this option for future web orders.

Do you offer layaway?

There is a $50 minimum for layaway orders.  Choose the layaway payment option at checkout and submit your order as usual.  You will be contacted via email and asked to choose the 4 week or 8 week payment plan.  Regardless of which one you choose, your order will be divided into 4 equal payments.  The first payment is to be made within 7 days of the order being submitted.  The final payment is to be made exactly 4 weeks or 8 weeks respectively from the date your order was submitted.  Your order will be processed and shipped after the final payment is made.  Upon receipt of your layaway order, I will send you an email outlining your payments and dates.  All payment methods are available with layaway.  All payments must be received in full before your order will be processed and shipped.

How do I know what size my bracelet should be?

MY BRACELETS AND ANKLET LENGTHS ARE LISTED AS THE INNER MEASUREMENT.  Most list bracelet sizes by length which is not very accurate for beaded or chunky jewelry styles.   The bigger the beads, the less space inside the bracelet for your wrist regardless of the length.  Please measure your wrist to be sure about the size before you request a shorter or longer length.  If you prefer the toggle clasp and would like to ensure that it doesn't slip off, it is recommended that you request your bracelet be made no more than 1/2" bigger than your wrist.

How to measure your wrist:  Wrap a flexible measuring tape or a strip of paper/string around your wrist right above the bone.  If using the paper/string method, mark it where the end meets then measure it with a ruler. 

Size your bracelet based on your personal preference.  Add 1/2  inch to your base wrist measurement if you like a snug fitting bracelet or you don't want your bracelet to move up your arm.  Add 3/4 - 1 inch to your base wrist measurement for a comfortable fit.  The bracelets will move freely and charm styles will dangle nicely.  Add 1 1/4 inch to your base wrist measurement for a looser fit.  If requesting a size change, please only specify in quarter inch measurements.

When ordering your bracelet, the measurement you give me at checkout (or the measurement specified in the item description, if no measurement is provided) will be used as the inner measurement.  I cannot guarantee that this measurement will be exact due to the difference in bead sizes and clasp choices, however, it will be within 1/8".  Whenever possible, I may include a small extension chain to allow for variances.  If you need your bracelet resized, please order a restring.

Can you customize an item for me?

For one-of-a-kind items:

  • Earrings can be changed to a silver tone or gold tone lever back, post or clip on at no additional charge by specifying this request in the instructions at checkout.
  • Necklaces with a lobster claw closure can have an extension chain added for extra length at no additional charge by specifying this request in the instructions at checkout.
  • Please note that while one-of-a-kind items are typically ready to be shipped upon receipt of the order, when requesting customizations it may delay it's availability.

For made-to-order items:

  • Earrings can be changed to a silver tone or gold tone lever back, post or clip on at no additional charge by simply specifying this request in the instructions at checkout.
  • Bracelets, anklets and necklaces can be made longer or shorter as needed by specifying this request in the instructions at checkout.  Please refer to information on bracelet sizing above.  For most length adjustments there will be no additional charges, however, if you are asking for a significant increase in the length I may contact you after receiving your order regarding a price change.  If this is a concern to you, you may certainly contact me before placing your order.
  • Necklaces with a lobster claw closure can have an extension chain added for extra length at no additional charge by specifying this request in the instructions at checkout.
  • I may be able to do a certain color that you would like even if it is not listed as a choice.  Please contact me to inquire on this before placing your order.
  • Certainly if you would like some other customization that is not listed here, please contact me and ask!

For Merchandise:

  • Some items may be able to add a name or other customization to the text.  An example would be with the Mommy's Little Monkey design.  You could have it say Grandma's Little Monkey instead.  Another example would be adding a child's name to the Buffalo Baby design so that it says the name above the Buffalo.  Please contact me to be sure it can be done before ordering!  Then, just specify the request in the special instructions at checkout.

Do you make jewelry for children?

I get asked this all of the time and to be honest, jewelry on children makes me nervous.  I know how children are - I have a 2 year old!  Please take great care as to not let your child put their jewelry in their mouth.  In addition to the two "child specific" pieces that I offer, you are welcome to request any other made-to-order item in a smaller size appropriate for your child.

  • Toddler version of the Pearls & Crystals bracelet.  The benefit of this design is that it is sturdier than just a strand of beads (I know how hard kids can be on their things - I have a 2 year old!) and if the child does manage break it, you won't lose all of the beads. As the child gets older, you can send the bracelet back to me to have links added and she can continue to wear it.
  • My First Dangle Earrings.  A simple little dangle appropriate for a child whose just now ready to have something more than a stud.

Both pieces are sterling silver to avoid any problems with sensitive skin.  Please use at your own risk.  I cannot be held responsible for an injury or death related to the use of my jewelry.

How do I redeem a gift certificate?

If you are ordering on the website, simply enter your voucher code into the gift voucher field at checkout and click recalculate.  If you are using it in person, turn in your certificate during checkout.  In any event, the certificate or voucher code is not redeemable for cash.  If the full amount of the certificate is not used all at once, no "change" will be given.  Instead, a certificate/voucher code will be issued for the remaining dollar amount.  Gift certificates that are purchased from Bitty Bitty Pretty will never expire.  If you are using a gift certificate that you won as a prize at a Bitty Bitty Pretty event, please be sure to use it within 6 months of issue as it will expire.
